2012 - The end? Nope , just the beginning!

Through the history, each year, each era had its events done mostly by people.

Copernicus found out the earth to be round, Columbus discovered America, Einstein put together the theory of relativity and recently man landed robots on Mars.

2012 will be a different kind of year.

And people will have nothing to do with it. Things will start happening to us.

People that never wrote an article will start writing books. Nonreligious people will start talking about God.

While we still have our free will, while we can still make a mess of our lives as we did for tens of thousands of years, this will not be as easy anymore. Not because we can’t. We can, alright.

Because for once in the history we’ll start understanding ourselves. We’ll understand what is the point of being here, what is our role, our aim, our purpose.

Hate will be less, love will be more. And not because somebody preached it to us or because we read a book about it. Just because hate will not make sense anymore.

Hurting other people will obviously look as it really is: something bad.

The smoke of ignorance will be slowly removed by the cool breeze of divinity.

When one does something bad, it is 100% out of ignorance. Our so called sins are also because of our ignorance. And ignorant we are, 100%.

As you are not upset when a blind man bumps into you, divinity is not mad at us when we make a mistake, after mistake, after mistake.

Each mistake had a lesson to be learned.

Each swamp we lived in made us appreciate the beauty of the clean, blue ocean.

Each dark life we lived, made us appreciate the beauty of a sunrise.

And 2012 will be the year of the sunrise.

Even if clouds are covering the sky of our consciousness, they cannot hide the light of divinity.

2012 is truly the end of the world as we know it. And that is a good thing.

Our world full of hate, wars, corrupt politicians, greedy businessmen, messed up families, abandoned children is going to end. Pain, disease, hunger, natural disasters is not what the divinity had in mind for us.

A new world is slowly starting. One in which we’ll start to see, one in which we’ll understand.

No person is different than another, no religion is more religious than the other. No person is richer or poorer as we all have the world as inheritance.

2012 will be a good year, but not as good as 2013 that will be nothing compared to 2014.

Each day will be a better day than the one before it, even if we might not notice it. But we will notice.

The bad thoughts will be gone as the origin of the bad thoughts will disappear. They never belonged to us so we are not to be blamed or feel guilty.

We just did not know better as our eyes were not in right order.

As an out of focus camera cannot record correctly a video for no fault or its own, so we are out of tune with the reality. Not for long though.

The master musician is out at work to tune us, adjust us so that the music of the heavens can be played through us.

We’ll begin to do things we never thought we could. Some of us will write books and be amazed at their content as we’ll not recognize it as our own. Some will play music instruments, some will sing beautifully.

But more than that, we’ll start enjoying life. It will all make sense, for the first time. Life will make sense, every day will be joyous. What else is there to want?

What should we do about it? Nothing, just enjoy the trip, enjoy the symphony the Composer is writing as we speak.

Each of us is no more, no less than an instrument in the musical piece He is creating.

What the Mayan Elders are saying about 2012

Carlos Barrios, Mayan elder and Ajq'ij (is a ceremonial priest and spiritual guide) of the Eagle Clan. Carlos initiated an investigation into the different Mayan calendars circulating. Carlos along with his brother Gerardo studied with many teachers and interviewed nearly 600 traditional Mayan elders to widen their scope of knowledge. Carlos found out quickly there were several conflicting interpretations of Mayan hieroglyphs, petroglyphs, Sacred Books of 'Chilam Balam' and various ancient text. Carlos found some strong words for those who may have contributed to the confusion: Carlos Barrios: "Anthropologists visit the temple sites and read the inscriptions and make up stories about the Maya, but they do not read the signs correctly. It's just their imagination. Other people write about prophecy in the name of the Maya. They say that the world will end in December 2012. The Mayan elders are angry with this. The world will not end. It will be transformed." "We are no longer in the World of the Fourth Sun, but we are not yet in the World of the Fifth Sun. This is the time in-between, the time of transition. As we pass through transition there is a colossal, global convergence of environmental destruction, social chaos, war, and ongoing Earth Changes." He continues: "Humanity will continue, but in a different way. Material structures will change. From this we will have the opportunity to be more human. We are living in the most important era of the Mayan calendars and prophecies. All the prophecies of the world, all the traditions are converging now. There is no time for games. The spiritual ideal of this era is action." Carlos tells us: "The indigenous have the calendars and know how to accurately interpret it -- not others. The Mayan Calendars comprehension of time, seasons, and cycles has proven itself to be vast and sophisticated. The Maya understand 17 different calendars such as the Tzolk'in or Cholq'ij, some of them charting time accurately over a span of more than ten million years. "All was predicted by the mathematical cycles of the Mayan calendars. -- It will change --everything will change. Mayan Day-keepers view the Dec. 21, 2012 date as a rebirth, the start of the World of the Fifth Sun. It will be the start of a new era resulting from and signified by the solar meridian crossing the galactic equator and the Earth aligning itself with the center of the galaxy." At sunrise on December 21, 2012 for the first time in 26,000 years the Sun rises to conjunct the intersection of the Milky Way and the plane of the ecliptic. This cosmic cross is considered to be an embodiment of the Sacred Tree, The Tree of Life, a tree remembered in all the world's spiritual traditions. Some observers say this alignment with the heart of the galaxy in 2012 will open a channel for cosmic energy to flow through the Earth, cleansing it and all that dwells upon it, raising all to a higher level of vibration. Carlos reminds us: "This process has already begun. Change is accelerating now and it will continue to accelerate. If the people of the Earth can get to this 2012 date in good shape without having destroyed too much of the Earth, we will rise to a new, higher level. But to get there we must transform enormously powerful forces that seek to block the way." The date specified in the calendar Winter Solstice in the year 2012 does not mark the end of the world. Many outside people writing about the Mayan calendar sensationalize this date, but they do not know. The ones who know are the indigenous elders who are entrusted with keeping the tradition. Carlos tells us: "The economy now is a fiction. The first five-year stretch of transition from August 1987 to August 1992 was the beginning of the destruction of the material world. We have progressed ten years deeper into the transition phase by now, and many of the so-called sources of financial stability are in fact hollow. The banks are weak. This is a delicate moment for them. They could crash globally, if we don't pay attention. Now, people are paying attention." The North and South Poles are both breaking up. The level of the water in the oceans is going to rise. But at the same time land in the ocean, especially near Cuba, is also going to rise. Carlos tells a story about the most recent Mayan New Year ceremonies in Guatemala. He said that one respected Mam elder, who lives all year in a solitary mountain cave, journeyed to Chichicastenango to speak with the people at the ceremony. The elder delivered a simple, direct message. He called for human beings to come together in support of life and light. "Right now each person and group is going his or her own way. The elder of the mountains said there is hope if the people of the light can come together and unite in some way. We live in a world of polarity -- day and night, man and woman, positive and negative. Light and darkness need each other. They are a balance." "Just now the dark side is very strong, and very clear about what they want. They have their vision and their priorities clearly held, and also their hierarchy. They are working in many ways so that we will be unable to connect with the spiral Fifth World in 2012." "On the light side everyone thinks they are the most important, that their own understandings, or their group's understandings, are the key. There's a diversity of cultures and opinions, so there is competition, diffusion, and no single focus." Carlos believes the dark side works to block unity through denial and materialism. It also works to destroy those who are working with the light to get the Earth to a higher level. They like the energy of the old, declining Fourth World, the materialism. They do not want it to change. They do not want unity. They want to stay at this level, and are afraid of the next level. The dark power of the declining Fourth World cannot be destroyed or overpowered. It's too strong and clear for that, and that is the wrong strategy. The dark can only be transformed when confronted with simplicity and open-heartedness. This is what leads to unity, a key concept for the World of the Fifth Sun. Carlos said the emerging era of the Fifth Sun will call attention to a much-overlooked element. Whereas the four traditional elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water have dominated various epochs in the past, there will be a fifth element to reckon with in the time of the Fifth Sun --- that element is 'ETHER'. The dictionary defines Ether as a "hypothetical substance supposed to occupy all space, postulated to account for the propagation of electromagnetic radiation through space." Perhaps it could be defined as the "space between space". I would suggest it could be manifest as the alignment of charged particles from our solar system (Sun), and our galaxy (Milky Way) surge. The Ether element represents spiritual energy. "The element of the Fifth Sun is celestial. Within the context of Ether there can be a joining of the polarities. No more darkness or light in the people, but an uplifted unity. But right now the realm of darkness is not interested in this. They are organized to block it. They seek to unbalance the Earth and its environment so we will be unready for the alignment in 2012." "We need to work together for peace, and balance with the other side. We need to take care of the Earth that feeds and shelters us. We need to put our entire mind and heart into pursuing unity and unity now, to confront the other side and preserve life." "We are disturbed -- we can't play anymore. Our planet can be renewed or ravaged. Now is the time to awaken and take action. Everyone is needed. You are not here for no reason. Everyone who is here now has an important purpose. This is a hard but a special time. We have the opportunity for growth, but we must be ready for this moment in history." Carlos says: "The prophesied changes are going to happen, but our attitude and actions determine how harsh or mild they are. We need to act, to make changes, and to elect people to represent us who understand and who will take political action to respect the Earth." "Meditation and spiritual practice are good, but also action. It's very important to be clear about who you are, and also about your relation to the Earth. Develop yourself according to your own tradition and the call of your heart. But remember to respect differences, and strive for unity. Eat wisely --- a lot of food is corrupt in either subtle or gross ways. Pay attention to what you are taking into your body. Learn to preserve food, and to conserve energy. Learn some good breathing techniques, so you have mastery of your breath. Be clear. Follow a tradition with great roots. It is not important what tradition, your heart will tell you, but it must have great roots." "We live in a world of energy. An important task at this time is to learn to sense or see the energy of everyone and everything -- people, plants, animals. This becomes increasingly important as we draw close to the World of the Fifth Sun, for it is associated with the element 'ether' -- the realm where energy lives and weaves. Go to the sacred places of the Earth to pray for peace, and have respect for the Earth which gives us our food, clothing, and shelter. We need to reactivate the energy of these sacred places. That is our work." "One simple but effective prayer technique is to light white or baby-blue colored candles. Think of a moment in peace. Speak your intention to the flame and send the light of it on to the leaders who have the power to make war or peace." Carlos reminds us this is a crucially important moment for humanity and for Earth. Each person is important. He said the elders have opened the doors so that other races can come to the Mayan world to receive the tradition. "The Maya have long appreciated and respected that there are other colors, other races, and other spiritual systems. They know that the destiny of the Mayan world is related to the destiny of the whole world." "The greatest wisdom is in simplicity. Love, respect, tolerance, sharing, gratitude, forgiveness. It's not complex or elaborate. The real knowledge is free. It's encoded in your DNA. All you need is within you. Great teachers have said that from the beginning. Find your heart, and you will find your way."

An amazing speech by a female aboriginal elder

“Today we are facing a new Era. The ancient Mayan culture speaks of this change, the ending of their old calendar in 2012, and the beginning of a new age. They, along with many other Indigenous cultures, also speak that these times as one of a more feminine nature, based in the heart and unconditional love.

But women in our modern world have a problem. We have begun to become financially and professionally empowered. Yet the most important need, for spiritual empowerment, is often neglected or ignored.

Our world is already in the time of transition and it will be a difficult time until the new era blossoms into an age of peace and understanding. If our world is to survive, spiritually empowered women must take their place in helping. It’s time for us to step up and step out. The time of hiding is over.

Most “aware” people know that it is necessary to heal our Mother Earth if we are to survive. However, it is equally as imperative to also heal ourselves and each other through unconditional love, compassion and respect. Moreover, women also need to help our men and boys develop their own feminine aspects of gentleness and sensitivity, compassion, nurturing, and kindness. We need to help our male counterparts learn to work from the heart.

It won’t be easy but if we don’t do all of this, we can’t help our planet and humanity risks extinction.

Women you are powerful – truly powerful, with unique gifts that are far-reaching. That is why we are considered a threat by so many male-dominated modern cultures and religious hierarchies. Women are especially tuned to walk in both the spiritual world and the everyday world. I have been taught that we are born spiritual; men have to strive hard to attain that state.

We are particularly adept at creating energy and change. Our great capacity for bonding has made us especially empathic and gifted at understanding and seeing past surface levels. Ultimately, our roles as caretakers and nurturers have opened our hearts and awareness to many levels of the universe. Our spiritual gifts are profound.

Unfortunately, women today have begun to lose that understanding of their gifts as they have grappled to survive in the callous male dominated societies of today. Many live tentative, cold, and fragmented lives as victims of violence, victims of unspeakable offenses against honour. Too often, their hearts and spirit have become uncertain and lost, awash in grief and fear. They have forgotten who they are. They have forgotten their original instructions as human beings and as women.

Yet, most Indigenous cultures recognised the unique and powerful qualities of women. In many cultures we were revered and respected. In some, the entire societal structure was Matriarchal. In others, the special spiritual gifts of women are recognised and we were considered to be the nurturing connection to the Divine. Throughout the Indigenous world, women often held the honoured roles of leaders, advisors, or wisdom-keepers. Often, we are the community healers and seers, although in many cultures this role is reserved for women in their post-menopausal years.

So it’s time that we start looking at our power, our bodies, and our moon-cycles with respect instead of as a “curse.” It’s vitally important that we choose to heal ourselves and regain the understanding of our own unique gifts; to re-claim our own power and ourselves. Then it will be up to each of you, your beliefs, and your own personal, spiritual journey as how to best walk with it all. You need to find your unique way to walk with spirit and continue to succeed with your professions and enterprises.

To quote an ancient Indigenous song, “Women of the earth, take courage. You carry the teaching of a people who look to you for guidance. Be mindful of your walk.”

You are the ones we have been waiting for. It’s time to step up. And yes, I’m speaking to each of you.”

Letter to a brother

Dear brother,

Whilst on the airplane , flying far above the clouds in the inmensity of the beautiful blue sky, I remembered the answer I had forgotten - have forgotten for a long time- and had forgotten to tell you : It is to go beyond; to go beyond the limitations of our mind.

At a mental level sometimes things appear not to have a solution or simply we can't see it ,and we go round and round within our mind. As if beneath a clouded sky or immersed in those very clouds, we can't see the sun or the clear blue sky above them; the clear blue sky of unlimited possibilities , freedom and Joy.

Flying far above a city, we are reminded of how small our lives are down there , how minute the daily problems we fret about ...to go beyond is to go above the limited mind , like the airplane when it goes beyond the barrier of clouds , and like the substance of clouds, we can transcend the vapours of our thoughts... just mental vapours that cloud our perception of Reality, that higher scope of things where problems just fall away, limitations just evaporate ... Our awareness needs to go beyond the mind.

Sajad : The next morning

The next morning was Saturday .Sajad awoke in a happy , tranquil mood .He felt as if his sleep had been complete ; he felt fully rested and regenerated . He flung open the shutters of his window and gazed out at the clear blue sky . There were only a few small clouds ,far ,far above .

Within his soul he felt the joy of creation , the innocent, serene joy of nature ; he felt happy like a child with a present .

Later he went to have breakfast in his favourite café. He sat down at a table outside under a large red parasol . The waiter brought him a milk coffee and a croissant .

As he was having his breakfast gazing out across the plaza at the sunlight playing in the leaves of the trees, making some leaves glow a bright vivid green contrasting with the darker green of the leaves in shadow , he began to remember the great emerald forest in the land where he was born , and then memories suddenly came flooding back to him of an experience he had had many years ago .

The memory of the experience had seemed to have got silted over with the layers of every day life , but now it was as if someone had suddenly flung the doors of memory wide open.
He remembered how he had met an Indian man who had spoken to him of the Primordial Mother , the Adi Shakti.


He recollected how at the time it had felt a little strange to him when this man had spoken of God as a female personality , as a Mother, and not as a Father as he was accustomed to .The Indian man had explained to him how he should pray to the Primordial Mother for Her to manifest within him, to awaken Her dormant energy within him, the energy known as the Kundalini ; a small part of Her energy within him, which resides in every human being , just waiting to be awakened.


He had then shown Sajad an old black and white photo of an Indian lady sitting in a meditation posture with one hand raised with open palm . He had then explained that this lady was an avatar of the Adi Shakti , an incarnation of the Primordial Mother on this earth , and that she had found a way to awaken the Kundalini en mass by means of a simple method. This state of re-connexion with the All Pervading Primordial Mother was known as Self Realization, or the state of yoga or union with the Divine.

The Indian man had asked him if he would like to have this experience and Sajad had accepted . He had closed his eyes and followed the guided meditation exercise lead by the yogi. At first, as they had begun the exercise , he had felt as if there was some kind of tension within some areas of his being , then towards the end of the meditation he experienced his Kundalini rising as a strong column of cool vibrations within him .His physical body had felt less real , less solid than this wide column of powerful , soothing vibrations which seemed to have replaced the centre of his body and poured out from the centre of the top of his head , cascading all around his head like a majestic fountain. The yogi had named the area at the top of the head as the fontanel bone area , suddenly the name fontanel as referring to this area at the top of the head became very meaningful .

Later that evening he had returned home in state of total bliss. He somehow knew without needing words or concepts that he had arrived at the destination of his seeking. He had felt completely whole , completely satisfied ,so much so that he hadn’t even felt the need to eat or drink.


However, after this initial experience , whenever he had sat down to meditate , in the early morning and in the evening , as the Indian man had indicated , although he had felt peaceful , happy and relaxed , he hadn’t had a reoccurrence of the initial experience; he had simply felt calm and at peace with himself.

But that had all been a long, long time ago , and since then he had gradually stopped meditating , for no particular reason that he could remember . And then the daily clouds of the illusionary world , the “ maya” , as the Indian man had called it , and the sands of time had done the rest.

Then he fell to remembering how Ajit-Atta , the shaman of his people had predicted this meeting shortly before he had departed from his home in Al-Ghadir , the hidden city in the great emerald forest .He had told him he would meet a man of a darker tone of skin than theirs , and even though not of his tribe , he would be able to call him brother ; a man not moved by greed or the need to make money, a pure soul he would be able to call an elder brother ; a man that would give him the key to unlock the true meaning of his life that he was seeking; a man that would give him the vidya, the pure knowledge, the sacred knowledge of the Tree of Life , the true knowledge of all things , bad and good .

And he had told him that this man would give him the Usma-Ata ,the supreme gift , the Meraj ,as their forefathers had named it .

At the time Sajad had not been able to understand, but now with a flash he suddenly realised the significance of that experience he had with the yogi ; it was indeed the fulfilment of the prophecy of the shaman , but at the time he had not realised the connexion…

Sant Jordi ‘s Day ( Saint George’s Day ) in Catalonia

On the 23 rd of April the streets of Barcelona and any Catalan city , town or village are filled with red roses and book stalls . The tradition is for the men to give their fiancé or their wife a red rose, and for her to give him a book .

The popular medieval legend tells how Saint George slays the dragon who is about to devour a princess . And how a rose bush bearing red roses grows out of the blood of the dragon. Thus the tradition of giving women a red rose.

There are similar legends and traditions in various European countries . What I find most interesting about this tradition is the archetypical value of this legend and its deep symbolism : My interpretation would be that the dragon is the archetype that represents the darkness of ignorance and negative tendencies, which is defeated by Saint George , the archetype also known as the archangel Michael in Christianity or Shri Bairava in Hinduism, representing the light of goodness and bravery, and the pure desire to protect the purity , the chastity and the goodness of the principal of the eternal feminine , represented by the princess.
I would suggest that this archetypical battle takes place within each human being in the area of our consciousness which in yoga is known as the left side channel , or ida nadi , representing of our desires and emotional energy that culminate in our subconscious plane, the area of our “ shadow “ as described in Carl Jung’s psychology.


The dragon then represents the type of energy that is primitive , brutal , dark that clouds our awareness and pure desire to evolve and become a higher being and can manifest also in the form of the ugly anger of frustration to fullfill negative tendencies or desires .

The way the blood of the dragon , the very sap of his existence , turns into beautiful flowers would symbolise the potential of the energy of the left side channel, the energy of our desire to manifest as beauty and Love, to transform the human being into a fragrant flower .

The fact that the man gives a flower to the woman would seem to acknowledge that this represents the battle within man to bring out the best in him . The offering of a flower being one of the most valid ways for man to approach a woman . A woman being the archetype of love and beauty , and evolution. It is the desire power of a woman that can move the man to defeat his negative tendencies and uncover love and beauty within himself , and thus evolve .

She gives him a book , which would be a symbol of pure knowledge, knowledge of universal values , that can help trigger the pure desire power within his left side channel , and dispel the clouds of ignorance ; kindle the desire to grow into a beautiful being .
